Web design shares many principles with design for print, but it also brings it’s own challenges.
As with any medium, design for the web starts with the brand and the ideas it needs to convey. All the normal rules for font and colour selection, layout and spacing, look and feel still apply; but there are extra layers of complexity. Ease of navigation, usability and flexibility must be taken into consideration – and how these things change depending on the device being used to interact with the website.
